COVID-19 NOVEL CORONAVIRUS:
Patients are understandably concerned. We will do our best to provide guidance wherever possible but encourage you to consult trusted resources like Health Canada (link) and Renfrew District Public Health Unit (link) If you are feeling very unwell, please contact 911 or report to a local emergency department. If you have a less urgent health concern, please contact our office at 613 433 5712; if you are unable to get through, please contact the Renfrew County Virtual Triage Assessment Centre, 1-884-727-6404. Please note that some routine office visits may be postponed, or conducted over the phone when appropriate. We appreciate your patience through this difficult time. If you are attending a visit at the office, our staff will screen you for risk factors prior to your visit to the office and again at the check in desk. If you have risk factors for COVID-19/Coronavirus, our staff may direct you to report to the emergency department.
COLORECTAL CANCER SCREENING:
Did you know that Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Screening in Ontario has changed? The fecal immunochemical test (FIT) is a screening test for people at average risk of getting colorectal cancer. FIT is now used instead of the guaiac fecal occult blood test (gFOBT), which used to be Ontario's colorectal cancer screening test. Click here to learn more! You can have a kit sent to you by contacting our office.
